Staying calm and focused at work - it can be done

Sometimes, if not often, it is hard to stay focused at work. The to-do list doesn’t get any shorter on its own and you don’t know what to do next. You would like to create some space in your head, but you never quite manage it. The more time goes by, the more you feel a certain tension building up inside you. But rest assured - there are hints and tips to help you relax and find the peace you need to tackle those jobs ONE BY ONE.

Staying calm and focused from the very start of the day

Tomorrow, give yourself the chance to start the day relaxed. Don’t get up at the last minute - give yourself time to get ready calmly. Eat at your own speed, relax when taking a shower, stretch and get dressed. This is one way of guaranteeing personal calm before the proverbial storm. One thing is sure - you will feel energised and ready to face the day.

Doing regular exercise has numerous benefits for our well-being and, in this case, is capable of helping us relax properly. Once up, it’s time to get some air for 5 minutes or to schedule 30 minutes of exercise during your lunch break.

Staying calm and focused through your breathing

Stop for a few minutes to forget about work and focus on your breathing. To do so, stand up or sit upright, as you prefer. Close your eyes, then breathe in and breathe out deeply, repeating 10 times to create some space in your mind. Open your eyes, choose an important job to deal with and tackle it in a relaxed manner.
